[Diabetes]For more than 10 years, insist on not drinking milk! The father of diabetes in Taiwan: The more milk you drink, the more children with type 1 diabetes may suffer
"Our cows that produce milk now have been improved and can continue to produce milk. But the milk they produce has a beta protein in it, which may cause cardiovascular disease, breast cancer, and type 1 diabetes. More, the more people get these diseases," Lin Ruixiang said.
The 88-year-old Professor Lin Ruixiang has a very domineering name in the medical field as the "Father of Diabetes in Taiwan". He founded the Diabetes Health Teaching Association in March 1996. It is currently the largest society in Taiwan with more than 10,000 members, most of whom are physicians. , Nurse, nutritionist; after the exam, he became a diabetes health teacher, serving in hospitals and clinics in Taiwan and all over the country.
Taiwan’s diabetes patients officially exceeded 2.3 million in 2019. According to the "Taiwan Diabetes Yearbook-2019 Type 2 Diabetes" published by the Diabetes Health Education Association and the Diabetes Association, the number of diabetic patients under the age of 20 has increased significantly compared with 2008. 40%. Between 2000 and 2014, Taiwan’s type 2 diabetes population increased by 2.6 times.
The rapid increase in the number of people with diabetes is not because Taiwan’s “treatment” of diabetes is lagging behind, but because people often have a lot of “don’t know” knowledge in their living habits, especially diet; this is what Lin Ruixiang wants to use through various channels. Tell diabetics and ordinary people.
Among them, an easily overlooked key is "milk."
Why is the milk bad? Because its protein has been mutated!
More than 10 years ago, Lin Ruixiang went to New Zealand to participate in a diabetes seminar. A professor from the Department of Animal Husbandry was invited to talk about the "bad effects of milk" at the meeting.
Milk protein is divided into two types, of which 60% is casein, 40% is whey protein, and casein is composed of α, β, and kappa proteins; and the bred cows can continue to produce large amounts of milk because of their structure and structure. Normal native cattle are different. After the casein of this milk is decomposed by human digestive enzymes, a peptide chain with 7 amino acids appears, called "β casomorphin 7" (ß casomorphin).
Lin Ruixiang said that when casein is broken down by the digestive system into protein fragments to produce β-casomorphin 7, it will go to the brain and combine with the receptors of morphine to form an opium-like effect. "Statistics for various countries in 2003 , Found that in a country, the more milk each person consumes, the higher the incidence of cardiovascular disease, breast cancer, and type 1 diabetes."
Related research at that time also produced a book called "Devil in the Milk". The author Keith Woodford is a professor at the Department of Farm Management and Agribusiness at Lincoln University in New Zealand. He believes that many diseases are actually related to This "A1-β casein" is related.
In addition to increasing the risk of cardiovascular disease, breast cancer and diabetes, the diabetes nutritionist Cai Zhenyuan in the professor's team said that this mutant casein is not suitable for human digestion, so it is easy to cause the problem of "intestinal leakage". Leaky gut disease can also cause autoimmune diseases. "There is a hypothesis that the beta cells in the pancreatic islets may be attacked by autoimmunity and cause diabetes."
Moreover, the lactose in milk can easily increase blood sugar quickly. Even if you want to drink milk, it is not suitable to drink too much or too fast at a time.
However, this does not mean that milk cannot be drunk at all. Li Peifen, a diabetes health teacher who has been working with the professor for more than 10 years of diabetes health education, said that mutant milk cannot be drunk, but milk from native cattle and milk without mutant β-casein are suitable for human consumption. "We call this "A2" milk."
Taiwan currently has A2 milk, but the price is not cheap, so Lin Ruixiang simply does not drink milk, and uses soy milk and other foods to supplement protein; black sesame seeds and broccoli are used to supplement calcium.
In fact, according to the National Health Agency, if the soy products made with food grade gypsum, such as tofu and dried tofu, are not only rich in calcium, but in terms of absorption rate, the calcium contained in the tofu and milk is absorbed The rates are similar, both are about 30-40%.
"Drinking milk is not necessarily healthier, so I don't encourage drinking milk!" Lin Ruixiang said.
